Winter is here, and it’s cold, wet and getting dark early !!

If your dog sleeps outdoors in a kennel, remember to check their bedding on a regular basis to make sure it’s nice and dry.

Even though the kennel is water proof, if your dog is getting in and out while they are wet, it doesn’t take long for any bedding that’s in the kennel to get wet too.

We find the second hand shops a great place to look for blankets that are both warm and best of all really cheap, so it’s affordable to buy 3 or 4 at a time and then you can rotate them in your pooches kennel.  This ensures their bedding is both clean, dry and making it less likely to harbor flea’s.

Don’t forget that school holidays are coming up next month so it’s a good time to think about your next holiday and booking your pets in with us.

Hi Folks, welcome to Pawprints very first blog post.

You may have noticed lately that we have had an overhaul of our website.  I think it’s come up really neat and the person I have to thank for it all is Glenis Boulanger.  Glenis designed out original site years ago but suggested last year it might be time for a new look – we absolutely agreed with her and we’re very please to have moved it all up a notch or three.  If you ever need a website designed, or you have one that you think needs some fresh ideas then I can honestly say that I would highly recommend Glenis, there is a link to her email address at the bottom of every page on our website.

She listens to what you are trying to achieve and has the expertise to turn it into reality, and also the experience to throw really neat ideas your way.  One of the best things she did for me was give me lessons on how to run the site myself so I can add posts or photos and make changes when I want, I don’t have to wait to have it done and it doesn’t cost me anything to have someone else do it – and it’s easy!

I also had the absolute pleasure today of meeting her gorgeous little dog Astro.  A Swedish Vallhund. Glenis describes him as the perfect little companion.  The right size and temperament for an inside dog, and I have to say he snuggled into my hug and I didn’t want to put him down.

So my first blog is dedicated to Glenis, without whom my website would not be here, thanks for your patience, know how and can do approach.
